My name is Matt Faubel, I'm currently an aspiring web designer based out of Austin, TX. I graduated from Texas A&M with my Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering. I've worked in some of the harshest and most remote environments across the world, and I've seen first-hand how reliability can affect an operation. My professional interests include front-end web development, IoT, blockchain, and industrial equipment automation. Having a background in engineering gives me the ability to connect systems and see the interdependencies and interactions between different components very well.

I've always believed that financial independence should be a goal for everyone. For the uninitiated Financially Independent (FI), means not having to work for money. Financial Independence is closely related to the concept of Early Retirement/Retiring Early (RE) - quitting your job/career and pursuing other activities with your time.
